Prof. Dr. Ademir de Oliveira Ferreira

He has post-doctorate degree in "Dynamics of soil organic matter (MOS) on management systems affected by crop fertilization" by CNPq (2017-2018), post-doctorate degree in "Mechanisms of carbon (C) stabilization in the soil influenced by the management system in subtropical and tropical environment" by Araucária Foundation/ CAPES/ UEPG (2014-2017) and Ph.D. degree in Soil Science from the Federal University of Santa Maria - UFSM with a doctoral-sandwich internship at Kansas State University (2014). He completed his master degree in Agronomy from UEPG in 2009. He graduated in (i) Agronomy by UEPG in 2006 and (ii) Teacher Training for Professional Education by UFSM in 2012. He is currently working as a Adjunct Professor in the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco UFRPE since 2018. He has received several Prizes and Distinctions namely; Congress of Integrated Systems of Management of Sustainable Agricultural Production (2006); Annual Meeting of Scientific Initiation (2009); Featured in the "ScienceDirect Top 25", Soil Tillage Research (2013); Motions for recognition of the Castro-PR City Hall (2015); Certificate of Outstanding Contribution as Reviewing, Ecological Indicators (2016, 2017, 2018); Certificate of Outstanding Contribution as Reviewing, Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment (2017); 'World's Top Peer Reviewers' for Environment/ Ecology - 'Peer Review Awards 2018' - Publons, Wiley, American Society for Microbiology, Royal Society of Chemistry (2018); MARIA MENEZES Research Award, for relevant scientific, technological and innovation contributions in the field of “Agrarian Sciences I”, UFRPE (2018). He is Ad-hoc consultant of 32 national and international scientific journals, member of the editorial board of 9 scientific journals, leader of the "Soil Management" research group (UFRPE), member of advisory committee of the Araucaria Foundation (PR, Brazil) and FACEPE (PE, Brazil). He have authored more than 53 articles (31 international) and 14 book chapters (6 international), with H index= 12 (Web of Science, Scopus), H index= 15 and i10 index= 22 (Google Scholar). He has experience in the field of Agronomy, with emphasis in Management and Soil Conservation, working in no-tillage (NT) system since 2002. He has conducted research programs in Mechanisms of C-protection in NT soils (whole and aggregates), Carbon sequestration potential under NT soils (subtropical and tropical areas) and Soil fertility management.
